It has been another exciting week here at kmfm. One of the highlights has to be talking to the Backstreet Boys!
The American boyband shot to fame in the 1990s with hits including Quit Playing Games (with my heart), Everybody (Backstreet’s Back) and As Long as You Love Me. They are still going strong and have just released a new single, In A World Like This, which I talked to them about earlier this week.
They were lovely guys, and we will be playing the interview – and the new single – on kmfm Breakfast on Friday morning. If you don’t get a chance to catch the show, you can listen to our interview with them on our website www.kmfm.co.uk
I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been texting kmfm for the last two weeks to be in with a chance of winning Two Grand in the Sand! We have 10 plots marked out on a beach in Kent and have teamed up with P&O Ferries to bury £2,000 in one of them.
My co-presenter Rob Wills and I have been reading out a list of items we’ve packed for our holiday, and listeners who could remember and recite 10 of them in 20 seconds got to choose a lucky plot.
The big finale will take place on Saturday, July 6, when the 10 plot winners will dig their area of sand for the chance to win £2,000. One of the plots contains the cash while the other nine plots will contain day trips with P&O Ferries, money to spend onboard and lots of cool goodies.
If you want to come and join in the fun and cheer on the people digging then make sure you are following
@kmfmofficial, @Robwills1 and
@presenteremma for all the details!
But the fun doesn’t end there – we are still struggling to give away £500 on 10 in 30! Its been almost nine weeks of us not giving away the jackpot! Listeners have 30 seconds on the clock and we ask one simple question that has more than 10 possible answers. For every answer you get right we give you £10, but get all 10 correct and we will give you £500!
Could you name 10 Michael Jackson songs?
Could you list 10 items in your house beginning with the letter S?
Could you name us 10 EastEnders characters?
If the answer is ‘yes’ and you think you could do it in 30 seconds then make sure you are tuning in from 7.30am every day for details of how to enter!
Earlier this year a restaurant opened in Maidstone called Buddha Belly, and if you’re anything like me and love your food then it will be just be the place for you.
An all-you-can-eat buffet with foods from all over the world, there are more than 16 different main courses to choose from - so it’s sure to have something for everyone.
At kmfm Breakfast we are offering a lucky listener the chance to enjoy a free meal at Buddha Belly - though there is a catch. You will get your meal for free but Rob and I will be cooking for you! As part of a new Team Rob vs Team Emma we will be testing who has the best culinary skills! For details of how to take part keep listening to kmfm and follow us on facebook.co.uk/kmfmofficial
