Celebrity chef Rick Stein is sharing his favourite food stories with fans.
The TV presenter is hosting a talk as part of this year’s Sevenoaks Literary Festival to celebrate the release of his latest book.
After rising through the ranks as a young chef, the now 77-year-old is a renowned cook who has owned and run several successful restaurants on the South West coast as well as other parts of the UK.
He has also appeared in many cooking shows over the years, such as Rick Stein’s Cornwall and Rick Stein’s Long Weekends, and travel documentaries which see him journey overseas to find the best food in countries like India and Spain.
Each series has been accompanied by a recipe book and, to coincide with his TV show earlier this year, Rick’s latest cookbook Food Stories was published on September 12.
The book has more than 100 recipes from around the UK that explore the way we cook today.
Fans can hear the inspiration behind some of the recipes and tales from Rick’s remarkable career at his upcoming talk.

The talk is part of this year’s Sevenoaks Literary Festival, which also features appearances from athlete Max Thorpe, film director Paul Greengrass and best-selling murder mystery author Ravena Guron.
