Wet Wet Wet play Folkestone with new lead singer Kevin Simm of Liberty X

Wet Wet Wet burst onto the scene back in 1987 with their debut album Popped In Souled Out.

They went on to achieve three UK No.1s including the phenomenally successful Love Is All Around from 1994, and to sell more than 15 million singles, making them one of the most successful bands in British pop history.

Originally fronted by Marti Pellow, last year former Liberty X member and winner of The Voice 2016 Kevin Simm joined as lead vocalist.

Kevin said: "I’m very excited to go out on tour with the guys. The reaction to the first two shows was overwhelming and confirmed to me that I'm in the right place. I am really looking forward to performing for and meeting more of the band's fans."

The band’s Tommy Cunningham added: "It’s a new and exciting chapter for Wet Wet Wet as we embrace the opportunity to reconnect with our fans on an intimate level."

The announcement was quickly followed by two sold-out shows and a UK tour, which comes to Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone, on Saturday, May 18.
