Europe’s biggest pop party is back for another round of outrageous costumes, kooky singers and catchy dance tunes.
This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will be hosted in Basel, Switzerland, with country-pop girl band Remember Monday set to represent the United Kingdom with their single, What the Hell Just Happened.
Now in its 69th year, the competition will see 37 nations take part, with the event being broadcast live on Saturday, May 17.
Chat show host Graham Norton will be providing the commentary during the BBC One broadcast from 8pm and Hazel Brugger, Michelle Hunziker and Sandra Studer will be hosting the show live in St Jakobshalle.
Remember Monday appeared on The Voice UK in 2019 and have gone viral on social media for their covers of popular songs.
The all-female trio, who met at sixth form in Farnborough, Hampshire, are hoping to do better than last year’s entry, Years and Years singer and BAFTA nominee Olly Alexander, who finished in 18th place and received no points from the public vote.
People up and down the country will be hosting Eurovision parties, which often include flags and snacks from countries taking part in the contest, and some venues are showing the broadcast on TV screens.
