Mehmet Husnu from Faversham charged with GBH with intent following incident in Borstal Hill, Whitstable

A man has been charged with causing grevious bodily harm with intent following an incident in Borstal Hill, Whitstable.

Mehmet Husnu, 22, of Willow Avenue, Faversham, is accused of a serious assault during an altercation with another man near the Long Reach roundabout at 8.20pm on Thursday.

He appeared at Canterbury Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and has been remanded in custody to appear again on Monday, November 13.

Police investigating the alleged assault are appealing for anyone who saw what happened, or a black Fiesta or a black BMW in the area, to contact them on 01843 222289 or Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 quoting reference ZY/049407/17.
