A 46-year-old man has been arrested following a burglary at a town centre business.

Police were called to the scene in Oxford Street, Whitstable, at about 11.15am on Saturday.

When they arrived, they found a window had been smashed and attempts had been made to steal IT equipment.

A man from London was arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession of suspected cannabis.

Officers seized a small quantity of drugs along with a tool kit, laptop, assorted tablets and memory cards.

The 46-year-old has since been released pending further investigation.
