Police have charged a young man with attempted murder after an alleged attack at a seaside home.
A woman in her 50s was airlifted to a London hospital after suffering serious injuries at a house in Island Wall, Whitstable.
A 19-year-old man was also flown to the capital for treatment of serious injuries.
Police arrested the man, who was known to the woman, in connection with the incident, which happened on the evening of April 23.
A force spokesman confirmed today Stanley Youll has been charged with attempted murder as part of the investigation.
They said: “The 19-year-old, of Middle Wall, Whitstable, appeared before Folkestone Magistrates' Court on May 5 and was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on June 2.”
An air ambulance landed at Cornwallis Circle Recreation Ground on the night of the reported attack.
Police were spotted outside the home the following morning in Island Wall, which is a quiet, tucked-away street near the town’s seafront.
The house was cordoned off while detectives worked at the scene.
