Man and woman airlifted to London hospital with serious injuries after home attack in Island Wall, Whitstable

A man and a woman have been flown to London hospital with serious injuries after an attack inside a home.

Police arrested the man in connection with the assault at a home in Island Wall, Whitstable yesterday evening.

An air ambulance landed at Cornwallis Circle Recreation Ground before heading to King’s College Hospital in London.

A police spokesman said: “The man has also been arrested in relation to the incident and police are not currently looking for anyone else.

“The two people involved are known to each other.”

Officers remain at the scene while an investigation to establish the full circumstances continues.

A police van can be seen parked near the home in Island Wall, which is a quiet, tucked away street near the town’s seafront.

The house remains cordoned off while detectives work at the scene.
