A person was left with minor burns after a chip pan fire.
Fire crews were called to an industrial unit in Whitstable High Street to put out the blaze at just after 1.45pm today (March 7).
Two fire engines were sent and crews used a dry powder extinguisher and fire blanket to put out the flames.
A person was treated for minor burns at the scene and no other injuries were reported.
The fire service has reiterated warnings never to leave cooking unattended and to make sure hobs, ovens and grills are clean and clear of anything which could catch alight.
