A helicopter was seen searching a town after concerns were raised for a person.

Police were called to Whitstable to help search for an individual reported missing yesterday afternoon.

The helicopter searched the Borstal Hill area, over Duncan Downs, and near Tesco Extra in Millstrood Road.

A police spokesman said: “The helicopter was assisting officers in a search for a missing person.

“They have since been safely located.”
