A legends football team filled with former players from one of Britain’s biggest clubs will take to the field in Kent this summer.
Tottenham Hotspur Legends and Herne Bay Youth Vets will come together to play a one-off charity match at Whitstable Town’s Belmont Ground.
Organised by the East Kent Spurs Supporters Club, the fixture is set to bring some of football’s most iconic names to the county.
The line-up is yet to be confirmed, but players turning out previously for the Legends side include ex-international stars Ledley King, Teddy Sheringham and Dimitar Berbatov.
The match will take place on Sunday, July 20, with kick-off scheduled for 2pm.
All proceeds will go directly to the Legend on the Bench charity, which supports mental health and suicide prevention through the installation of commemorative benches in public spaces.
Funds raised on the day will be used to offer benches in east Kent.
Maria Howdon, secretary of the East Kent Spurs Supporters Club, said: “We are thrilled to bring together Spurs Legends and our local Herne Bay Youth Vets for a match that not only celebrates football but also supports the vital work of the Legend on the Bench charity.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy the game, and contribute to a meaningful cause.”
Tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for children under-16, with VIP and family packages also available here.
There will also be family-friendly activities, food stalls, and live music.
