Drivers have been warned to expect delays after a car overturned on the A299 Thanet Way.

The accident happened just after 7.50am on the coastbound carriageway at Chestfield Tunnel near Whitstable, and emergency services have been called to the scene.

The carriageway has been closed between the junctions for Whitstable and Herne Bay, and traffic was brought to a standstill.

Police ambulance and fire crews are currently at the scene and Kent Highways officers have been called.
