Body found in Seasalter, Whitstable amid search for missing man Edward Parry

Police have discovered a body in the search for a missing man.

Officers were called to Seasalter near Whitstable yesterday evening, where a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The force had earlier issued an appeal to help find Edward Parry, who was last seen in the area at 3pm on Monday.

A police spokesman says formal identification is yet to take place but the family of the missing 54-year-old man, who was from the area, have been informed.

“The death is not currently being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner,” they said.
