Appeal after bike rider dies

A MOTORCYCLIST died in hospital after he came off his machine while attempting to negotiate the slip road junction in Ashford onto the A2070 on Saturday.

The rider, from London, was travelling from the Hamstreet direction on his Yamaha. He took a sharp bend on the Clover Leaf junction on to Bad Munstereifel Road when he was thrown from the bike.

He was taken to the William Harvey Hospital at Ashford but died shortly afterwards. Police have issued an appeal for any witnesses to contact PC Tom Newbury on 01233 611055.
