Police helicopter part of armed police raid on houses in Ashford

Armed police descended on Kennington, Ashford last night, accompanied by a police helicopter.

Armed officers raided two houses, one in Bybrook Road and one in Hurst Road, as part of an ongoing investigation.

Armed officers raided two houses, one each in Bybrook Road and Hurst Road, as part of an ongoing investigation.

An eyewitness said that the helicopter was circling over houses for about 45 minutes at 10pm.

No arrests have been made as a result of the operation but a number of mobile phones have been seized.
