Mitchell Sherwood slots home Ashford's third goal from the spot

A storming second half display helped Ashford secure their first Ryman League Division 1 South win of the season against Whyteleafe to move off the foot of the table.

The visitors took the lead after 34 minutes but Jon Guest powered in a header to draw the home home side level.

Joe Fuller and a Mitchell Sherwood penalty put the home side 3-1 ahead and despite a late consolation for the visitors the Nuts and Bolts held on to win in front of a crowd of 177 at Homelands.
