Attack victim's jaw broken in two places

A MAN was punched eight times and had his jaw fractured in two places in a street attack.

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses to the assualt which occurred at the lower end of the high street in Ashford at about 2.25am on Friday, March 16.

A police spokeswoman said: "The victim was talking to two other men when one of them punched him in the face, causing him to fall backwards.

"While he was on the ground the same man punched him a further seven times in the face. His jaw was broken in two places."

PC Eddie Evans said: "The town was busy at the time and many people will have witnessed the assault. I am appealing to any witnesses to contact me in confidence on 01233 896286."
