A bath bomb shop in Ashford town centre has closed after just six months of trading due to a lack of footfall.

Bath Bomb Boom filled the unit in Park Mall shopping centre previously used by Office Angles, next to the town's First World War tank, in July.

The family-run business started during the pandemic and rapidly gained customers on Facebook and saw the physical shop as the next logical step.

However, the increasingly difficult situation on the high street means the shop will not be reopening when the owners return from their Christmas break.

In a statement online, the store said: "We are really sorry but Bath Bomb Boom retail shop is closed.

"Online purchases will be available soon.

"A big thank you to all our regular customers for the support.

"Happy new year to all."

The shop, which hoped to be a one-stop shop for a relaxing evening of pampering, sold handmade soaps, exfoliating scrubs, shampoo bars, wax melts and of course bath bombs.

Also available was a range of scented candles and even CBD-infused bath bombs.

Kristine Archer, the creative force behind the business, said all items adhere to cosmetic standards and are made using natural ingredients.
