A boy has been pictured climbing over the edge of the Eureka Skyway bridge at Ashford in a dangerous stunt.

The shocking photo shows the youngster clinging precariously to the edge of the pedestrian bridge over the M20 at 7pm yesterday.

It is believed the boy and a friend had been practising free-running or Parkour - an activity where people climb and jump over obstacles in an urban environment.

The youngsters were later seen running away from the bridge before the picture was posted on Twitter.

A Kent Police said the force had not received any calls about the incident.

The £8million bridge, which links the Warren Retail Park to the Eureka Leisure Park, was opened in November 2011.

There was a fatality at the bridge shortly after the opening when a woman fell onto the motorway.
