A new video has been released showing what a state-of-the art brewery in Ashford is set to look like.

Construction of the Curious Brewery began last year and it will also feature a shop, restaurant, bar and visitor centre as well as hosting guided tours.

The video shows just how large, and modern, the custom-built brewery is set to be. It is located on the 1.6-acre site in Victoria Road, just opposite the Ashford International Station, which was formerly wasteland.

The £1.3 million brewery is being built by Chapel Down which runs the winery in Tenterden. It will also be used to promote the company's Curious Beer brand which sells lager, IPA and cider all "made by winemakers".

The brewery is set to create 160 full-time jobs, as well as 50 additional jobs within the supply chain.

Planning permission for the Curious Brewery was given last year as part of a major redevelopment of the brownfield site. Also being built in the area is a new Aldi store, a 125-room hotel and more than 220 flats, all within a short walking distance of the Ashford International station and the town centre.
