Stagecoach buses hit by objects in Ashford

A bus was damaged after being pelted with missiles in Ashford.

Police were called to Beaver Lane and Brookfield Road last night following two separate reports.

Two Stagecoach buses travelling in the area reported having unidentified objects either thrown or catapulted at their windows and doors, with one suffering damage.

Stagecoach tweeted: "We have unfortunately had objects thrown/shot at two buses this evening, one suffering damage.

"Police are monitoring the area however we may need to divert/cancel services in the Arlington/Beaver Green area for passenger and driver safety."

Police attended, but were unable to locate any suspects.

Investigations are ongoing, and anyone with any information is asked to call 101, quoting reference 27-1024.
