Car smashes into McDonald's in Ashford's Eureka Park

A car has crashed into the frontage of a McDonald's restaurant.

A window of the chain's Eureka Park, Ashford, branch was smashed in the incident.

The couple were uninjured in the crash according to police

Police noted that there were two people in the car at the time but neither were injured in the incident which happened at around 3.20pm.

A McDonald's spokesman said: “We can confirm that we are aware of an incident which took place at our Ashford Eureka restaurant this afternoon. Emergency services initially attended the incident and have now left the restaurant.

"The restaurant was closed to all customers for a couple of hours whilst the area was made safe and secure and is currently open for Drive-Thru and McDelivery only, and will reopen for take away and eat in customers as soon as possible."
