CCTV released after woman sexually assaulted in Victoria Park, Ashford

CCTV images have been released after a woman was sexually assaulted.

A woman in her 30s was approached by a man on a bike on a footpath which runs through Victoria Park in Ashford on Saturday night.

The man is then said to have dropped the bike before sexually assaulting her.

She managed to escape but was followed to a nearby block of flats, where residents jumped in to help and chased the suspect away.

The victim accessed the path from Jemmett Road and was walking in the direction of Ford Way between 10.30pm and 11.45pm.

Police were called and carried out a thorough search of the area but were unable to trace the man responsible.

Officers have since released images of a man they want to contact.
