Could your band perform in front of thousands at festival?

Last year's Create music festival

The call is out for bands to play at one of the largest music festivals in Kent.

Create 2009 will be back bigger and better on Sunday, July 26, in Victoria Park, Ashford.

It will include a main stage with headline acts, a DJ and electronica tent, the Right Track Music School Stage and many more attractions.

Orgainsers say it does not matter whether its a talented rock band, punk act, DJ, electronica, solo indie artist or folk musician - they want to hear from you.

Any local band that thinks they have got what it takes to entertain more than 5,000 people who will flock to Create 2009 will be given a chance to perform.

Council arts development officer, Chris Dixon, said: “We are always looking for new ways to ensure the Create Music Festival is relevant to Ashford.

“Music continually evolves along with our rapidly expanding town and audience, therefore an open selection process means we can give a platform to bedroom DJs and music acts that play in their garage.”

You can apply online at www.ashfordpresents.co.uk from 4 February and the closing date for entries is 15 May.
