Unemployed teenagers are being invited to take advantage of opportunities being offered by a local charity.

CXK, formerly Connexions, is welcoming anyone aged 16 to 19 who is not in employment, education or training to an open day at Ashford HOUSE youth centre at Tannery Lane next Thursday, February 7.

The charity helps young people and adults to develop their skills, raise their aspirations and encourage them to reach their full potential.

Their personal advisors will be on hand to discuss apprenticeship opportunities, work experience and training courses available to them from 1pm until 3.30pm.

As well as giving young people the latest college courses and start dates, they will provide job seeking support and will help them with writing a CV in order to help gain employment.

Teenagers who come along will also be entered into a free prize draw to win high street vouchers up to the value of £15.

For more information call Simon Austen on 01622 683155.
