Cyclist dies after falling off bike in Folkestone

A cyclist has died after falling from his bike in
Folkestone.

The 61-year-old man was airlifted to hospital after coming off

the bicycle in Dover Hill on Saturday afternoon.

He is thought to have become unsteady as his bike was carrying a
large amount of bags and clothing.

Kent Police said the man suffered life-threatening injuries in
the accident, at about 12.20pm, and later died of his injuries at a
London hospital.

Officers are keen to hear from witnesses or anyone
who saw the man travelling from the Dover direction.

Witnesses are urged to phone the Kent Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538.
