An 11-year-old boy has been knocked off his bike on a busy Ashford road.

The accident happened just before 3.50pm bear the shops on Faversham Road.

Police were called to the scene and an ambulance checked the victim over before taking him to the William Harvey Hospital.

His injuries are not life-threatening.

Traffic is queueing back from the crash as far as the A28 Canterbury Road, causing delays.
