E-fit image released following attempted sexual assault in Ashford

Officers investigating an attempted sexual assault in Ashford have released an e-fit image of a man they want to talk to.

He is described as slim with dark short-cut hair, in his early 20s and around 5ft 4in.

He was wearing a navy blue body-warmer with a white logo, a dark long-sleeved T-shirt, dark combat trousers and dark trainers.

A Kent police spokeswoman said: "It was reported that the man attempted to speak to a woman and when she refused to engage with him he tried to grab her. The woman avoided the man and left the area."

The alleged attack happened shortly before 8pm on Monday, May 2, along a footpath off Church Hill, Kingsnorth.

The woman says she was walking along the footpath when she was approached by the man.
