Dogs and their owners are needed to take part in a sponsored walk in aid of the Pilgrims Hospice.

The 'Paws 4 Pilgrims’ event will take place on Sunday, October 25, in the grounds of Chilham Castle and the surrounding Kings Wood.

Nigel Donkin, regional fundraising manager for the hospice, said: “We are really looking forward to this novel fundraising event.

“There are so many dog lovers in the county and it is a great opportunity for them to exercise their pets in a beautiful setting, meet like-minded people and raise money for their local hospices at the same time.”

He said it was hoped the event would raise more than £25,000 for the hospice, which is the Kentish Express charity of the year.
