Teams of firefighters worked to extinguish a blaze which broke out in an Ashford house this morning.

Two appliances, one from Ashford and another from Folkestone, attended the scene at 8.24 am.

A hose reel was used to extinguish the fire, which broke out in a upper floor bedroom of a two-storey house in Essella Road.

Crews used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the property.
