A2070 closed near Brenzett and five people taken to hospital after crash

Five people have been taken to hospital following a serious crash which has partially closed a main road.

Police, fire and ambulance crews are at the scene of the incident on the A2070 between the Ivychurch turn-off and Brenzett roundabout.

One person has been taken to a London hospital, while four others have been relayed to the William Harvey.

Officers have partially shut the key route which links Ashford to the Romney Marsh, but traffic can slowly make its way through.

The crash happened just after 7.30am.

Recovery for the car, which was the only vehicle involved, has been arranged.
