Five men break into house on Watercress Lane in Ashford

Five men, described as being in their late teens and early 20s, have broken into a house.

The attempted burglary took place on Watercress Lane in Ashford at around 1am yesterday, with the group searching a number of rooms.

One occupant was struck in the face during the incident, which saw no items being taken.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "The offenders are all described as being adults, either in their late teens or early 20s. All were wearing dark hoodies with tracksuit bottoms, apart from one individual who was wearing a grey hoodie.

"They were all between 5ft 9ins and 6ft 2ins tall.
