Caravans destroyed in fire at woodland in Pluckley

Four caravans and an outbuilding have been gutted in a fire which struck at a woodland this afternoon.

Fire crews were called to Pluckley at just before 4.20pm today, and have spent several hours working to control the blaze.

They also had to cool pressurised cylinders at the site.

Firefighters used a high-pressure hose reel jet, sprinklers and three fire engines at its height.

The response was scaled backed by 7pm.
