Schoolgirl grabbed in alleyway off Jemmett Road, South Ashford, by attacker who fled towards Hillyfields Rise

Police have appealed for witnesses after an 11-year-old girl was assaulted in an alleyway on her way home from school.

The victim was walking home from school with a friend when the two parted and she made her way along Jemmett Road, South Ashford, taking an alleyway leading past Ashford and District Boxing Club.

As she walked down the alleyway at about 4pm on Friday, she was grabbed from behind by a man.

She hit the man with her elbow and he ran off towards the Hillyfields Rise area.

Police said the man was white, aged in his late teens, 5ft 6in tall, with dark hair and of slim build. He was wearing dark blue jeans with a light green or blue jacket.
