Girl headbutted and punched on high street

POLICE want to talk to this man in connection with an assault which took place outside a McDonalds restaurant in a Kent high street.

A 17-year-old girl was standing outside the fast food outlet on Ashford High Street when she was headbutted and punched by the man following an exchange.

In an effort to fend him off, the girl retaliated. The man walked off after a friend came to help the victim, who suffered swelling and bruising to her eyebrow.

The suspect is described as white, aged between 35 and 45, 5ft 3ins tall and unshaven.

He spoke with a Scottish accent and was wearing a blue bomber jacket with a yellow stripe down each arm, a dark blue hat, blue jeans and dark shoes.

Anyone with information about the incident, which took place between 6.30pm and 6.45pm on Wednesday, January 17, is asked to contact police on 01233 896181 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
