A police helicopter helped track a suspect after two officers were assaulted in Ashford.

The incident happened at around 8pm during a scheduled visit to a property in Kennington last night.

Two officers were assaulted by a man who then left the scene.

Neither officer suffered serious injury but a search of the area was carried out.

They were assisted by a police helicopter and a 24-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.
