Yellow weather warning for rain issued for Kent this weekend

A yellow weather warning has been issued for Kent as heavy rainfall is expected to hit the county this weekend.

The Met Office says there is a "small chance" homes and businesses could be flooded on Saturday.

Covering the whole of the county, the alert will be in force for all of Saturday, ending at 6am on Sunday.

This is the second of the week, with the first being issued on Tuesday.

Weather experts warn heavy downpours could cause flooding and disruption to travel and there is a chance that homes and businesses could be flooded.

Where flooding occurs, they say there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services while spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.

They are also warning of a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses.
