Hoodie thug punches mobile phone owner

A BOY of 16 was punched in the face when he refused to hand over his mobile phone to two youths who approached him in an alleyway.

He received facial injuries in the attack in an alley between Newtown Road and Hunter Avenue at Ashford.

The offender is described as white, aged about 15, 5ft 7in tall, of medium build and wearing a grey hoodie with the hood up, and blue jeans.

The second male is described as white, aged about 15, 5ft 7in tall, of medium build and wearing a black hoodie, with the hood up.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the attempted robbery which occurred on Friday, October 21, at about 1.15pm.
