Firefighters tackled a blaze outside a house in Alec Pemble Close, in Kennington last night.

Crews battled to put out the flames in a row of 13 ft high fir trees in front of a house.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said the fire caused slight damage to guttering and the roof of a nearby house.
