A lorry fire closed part of the M20.

Fire crews were called at about 12.40pm to the blaze on the London-bound stretch at junction 9 for Ashford.

Both carriageways were closed while fire crews tackled the incident.

Both carriageways are now open.

Motorists are being warned of long delays as the fire caused a large diesel spillage across the carriageway, which highways officials are still clearing up.

She added that the driver got out of the vehicle.
