Home Office Immigration Enforcement teams and Kent Police visit Bank Street in Ashford

Two Immigration Enforcement vans and three police cars have been spotted in Bank Street, Ashford, this afternoon.

Officers were seen standing outside some of the many shops and restaurants in the busy town centre road, which features some of Ashford's infamous shared space that can be used by both pedestrians and vehicles.

The Home Office has said it cannot reveal what its officers are doing at the moment and Kent Police has not yet commented.
