Leon Camier is hoping to put an end to the bad luck that has cursed his previous visits to Mallory Park in Leicestershire.

The British Superbike championship leader experienced a weekend to forget when the series visited the circuit last season but after winning the previous six races, he’s bang in form.

Camier, from Ashford, said: "The last two years there have been horrendous for me and I’ve only had problems there on a Superbike.

"In 2007 the weather was so bad and then I had a big crash. Then last season, after machine problems in practice and qualifying, I was knocked off in the first race.

"If I can’t win then I’ll settle for good points but I will be pushing for wins again."

Camier currently leads the British championship by 78 points ahead of Airwaves Yamaha team-mate James Ellison. He has won 10 of the 12 races so far this season.
