This stunning picture shows the dramatic weather conditions at the weekend... as Kent went from beautiful sunshine to thunderstorms.

The picture, taken by J J Roberts, shows a small boat captured in the glow of a bolt of lightning at Hythe.

The eerie image reflected a tumultuous storm in which one house in Northfleet was struck by lightning.

And we're set for more unsettled weather in the next few days.

Met Office weather forecasters are predicting potentially thundery weather today, with more rain and sunshine tomorrow.

It is expected to warm up by Thursday.
