Two lorries went up in flames after a camping stove fire got out of control.

Both HGVs - which were loaded up with bales of waste paper - were parked at Ashford International Truckstop when the blaze took hold.

A stove was being used between the two vehicles.

Police and fire crews were called to the Sevington site yesterday as flames engulfed the lorries.

A picture shared by the Kent Police Ashford Twitter account shows the remains of one of the HGVs.

Officers say no one was hurt in the fire.

Four fire engines were sent to the Waterbrook Park estate to combat the flames.

Firefighters worked hard to prevent the blaze from spreading to the cabs of the HGVs, which suffered heat damage.
