A key town road was blocked following a crash.

Ashford’s A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road, southbound, was clogged with queueing traffic due to accident near the junction with The Boulevard and Waterbrook Avenue.

A car had been in collision with a motorbike just before 11.20am today .

Kent Police said that the rider, a man, had been slightly injured and taken to the nearby William Harvey Hospital.

The holdup was from M20 Junction 10 towards Kingsnorth but delays cleared by 1.45pm.

Bad Munstereifel Road is a direct route from the motorway, taking drivers towards southern Ashford and Romney Marsh.
