Man airlifted after serious crash near Biddenden

A van driver has been airlifted to hospital following a head-on collision this evening.

The crash, involving a Mercedes car and a Peugeot van, happened on the A262 Sissinghurst Road between Biddenden and Hareplain Road at about 5.30pm.

The woman driving the Mercedes has also been taken to hospital, after being treated at the scene by paramedics.

The road is expected to remain closed in both directions until 8.15pm, and police are on the scene.

The vehicles are being recovered.
