Man airlifted to hospital after serious crash in Smarden near Ashford

A man who was airlifted to a London hospital after a serious crash this morning remains in a critical condition.

The crash involving a red Nissan Micra and a grey Audi A3 happened at around 8.45am in Smarden, near Ashford.

The Nissan was travelling east along Bell Lane when it was involved in a collision with the Audi which was travelling in the opposite direction.

Officers from the serious collision investigation unit (SCIU) are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage that could assist their inquiries to come forward.
