Man arrested after 'threatening children' in Repton Park, Ashford

A man has been arrested after reportedly threatening a group of children at a play area.

Officers arrived at 7.49pm following reports the man had threatened the group following an argument.

No injuries were reported and a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

He was taken into custody and inquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident are continuing.
