Man arrested after police called to Hythe Road, Ashford, following reports of disturbance

A man has been arrested after police were called to a main road this morning.

Witnesses reported seeing several police cars and ambulances at Hythe Road in Ashford this morning.

Kent Police has confirmed officers were called at 8.20am, to a disturbance between a man and woman who are known to one another.

A force spokesman said: “Officers attended and arrested a man in connection with the incident. He has since been taken to hospital.

“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”

The ambulance service was not able to comment on this occasion.
