Man arrested on suspicion of failing to appear in court and cultivating cannabis after warrant

Police raided the home of a man suspected of breaking bail... and allegedly found cannabis growing.

Officers carried out a warrant at an address in Speldhurst Close, Ashford at 8am today.

They are said to have discovered the plants during a search of the 33-year-old's home.

The man was arrested on suspicion of failing to appear in court and cultivating cannabis.

A police spokesman said: "While at the address they discovered a small quantity of cannabis plants and he was further arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis."
